Problem

Household management is a common source of tension in relationships, primarily because couples and roommates often have misaligned perceptions of who's doing what. Without a shared understanding of contributions, simple household tasks can become sources of conflict. Existing solutions either focused too heavily on rigid scheduling or lacked the engagement features needed to maintain consistent use.

Approach

Drawing from personal experience with this challenge, we saw an opportunity to combine practical utility with engagement mechanics. The solution needed to make it easy to track contributions and plan work, but it also needed to keep people motivated to use it consistently. Most importantly, it needed to promote harmony rather than create new sources of conflict.

Solution

We created an iOS app that balanced functionality with engagement. The core features include automated scheduling for recurring chores, flexible planning tools for upcoming work, and statistical insights to help households understand their patterns. The gamification elements were carefully designed to promote positive competition rather than conflict, allowing users to see their contribution levels while maintaining focus on household harmony.
